KC School Guide: Local School Data

KC School Guide is a product we designed, built and run. It pulls public records from Kansas and Missouri agencies and every metro school district, then turns them into one clear site: every school on both sides of the state line, rated in the open, with every figure linked to its source.

Rankings built from state test results, with the method shown, not hidden.

A data-heavy app, done carefully

Behind the simple pages is a pipeline that reads state report cards, district postings, PDFs and spreadsheets on a schedule, checks them, and keeps a record of where each number came from. Parents can search, compare schools side by side, find their zoned school by address, and save a shortlist with an account.

Built mobile first: most parents look this up on their phone.

Why it matters for your project

If your business runs on data that lives in spreadsheets, PDFs or other systems, this is the same skill set: gather it automatically, clean it up, and present it so people can act on it. You can explore the live site yourself.
